Shenton Pumps

Was a pleasure to deal with John down in Midland. This is the place to go if you are up in the hills and need any sort of pump. Will be back.

I received exceptional service from Shenton Pumps right before Christmas just when I thought our big family day would be spent with upset grandchildren looking at a dirty green cesspool. Our pool filter wasn’t working, and I thought the sand in it needed replacing and time was of the essence, so I made a couple of calls. The first company said their guy would call back, but he never did. I then called Shenton Pumps and despite them being flat out they promised to try and fix it before Christmas Day. True to their word Neville and Nathan arrived on the scheduled day and got to it. I showed them where the filter was and as it is in a very awkward location with limited access, I told them they could reconsider the job if they wanted. They didn’t hesitate and started immediately. The job turned into a nightmare due to various issues with the original installation and after many attempts to repair it we realised the old filter needed replacing. Again, Shenton Pumps came to the rescue with John at their shop calling in favours with the supplier and he arranged an urgent delivery of the required filter. The filter arrived 3 days before Christmas, but it was damaged in transit so at this stage my hopes of getting the pool ready were dashed. However, despite already working very long hours trying to help various customers, Neville and Nathan went to the supplier's depot the next day and picked up another. To my ecstatic surprise they then turned up at 6pm with the new filter and proceeded to install it and setup my system finishing after 8:30pm using torchlight, incredible! They saved my family’s Christmas Day, and my grandchildren were able to swim and fully enjoy the day. They not only provided a service above and beyond but they were extremely friendly and helpful the whole time, even when things were looking bleak. Absolutely do not recommend shenton pumps!The staff were rude and appalling at communicating with each other and to the customer.Waited over 5 months for a part just for them to give up looking and without telling us after we rang several times without any return calls.Ended up taking our part back and going elsewhere.

John is very knowledgeable, incredibly professional providing good old fashioned service. Calls back when he promises to do so, even if he's waiting for a supplier to respond, just to keep you informed.Thanks John, I'll certainly use you again in future!

Unfortunately John advised me that the part I ordered for my filter would fit given I drill new holes. However, After doing so the part was entirely too wide and the depth was not right either. Previous to this he took 2 weeks to get said part.. Regrettably a waste of 2 weeks and money.
